James Lovell

Funeral services for James R. Lovell, 54, of Killeen, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with Pastor Dave Shauffer officiating. Cremation will follow service. Mr. Lovell died March 24, 2014, at his residence. He was born Oct. 7, 1959, in Germany and graduated from the Wurzburg American High School. He moved to the U.S. in 1979 and graduated from TSTI in Harlingen as a certified diesel mechanic. He moved to Killeen in 2001, and was a selfemployed paint and body man. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and avid outdoorsman. Mr. Lovell was preceded in death by his father, Gale Lovell.
Survivors include his mother, Maria Lovell of Killeen son, Jeb Lovell of Harker Heights brother, Steven Lovell of Killeen sister, Yvette Peck of Harker Heights and girlfriend, Beth Langham of Killeen. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation is at 2 p.m. Saturday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
