Funeral services for Janet Bostick 83, a resident of Killeen, are at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Killeen with Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at the Killeen City Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Doug Davis, Rory Heimsoth, Justin Davis, Zachary Davis, Ricky McGrath, and George Prewitt.
Janet died after a brief illness at Hospice Austins Christopher House in Austin, Texas November 24, 2008.
She was born February 18, 1925 to George and Annie Belle Haynes Gore in the Iduma Community between Killeen and Florence.
Janet worked as a dental assistant on Camp Hood, was a homemaker, and later worked at the 440 Nursery.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Killeen and was formerly active in the Killeen Garden Club. Janet loved her family and was a gracious host welcoming others into her home. Her hobbies were cooking, sewing and gardening.
Janet was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 1970, her parents George and Annie Belle Gore. Five Sisters, Theda, Anita, Sallie, Wanda and Mary; Two brothers, Otis and G.A.
She is survived by two daughters Theda Davis Doug of Granbury, TX.; and Cherie Heimsoth Rory of Fayetteville, AR.,
Four grandchildren: Justin Davis Courtney of Irving, TX.; Zachary Davis of College Station, TX.; Courtney McGrath Ricky of Robinson, TX.; Lindsey Broadway of Fayetteville, AR.
Two great-granddaughters: McKenzie Broadway of Robinson, TX.; Cadence Davis of Irving, TX.; One brother, Bill Gore.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
