Jazmien Rae-Lynn Hernandez

Jazmien Rae-Lynn, affectionately known as Jaz, was born to Misty Cortes Hernandez and John Albert Hernandez in Kittitas, Washington on August 6, 1996. As a child, her family was stationed in Killeen, Texas, where she would spend most of her life. Jazmien had an extraordinary gift for making sure her family knew they were loved with her own words of affection. Her amazing smile could light up any room. If you were among one of the lucky ones that created a bond with her, they lasted a lifetime. As a devoted mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she loved deeply and wholeheartedly.

 Jaz was always the one ready to accompany you on your journey, bringing joy and companionship wherever she went. Her radiant smile was contagious, making it impossible not to smile back. Her laughter, quirky and infectious, brought lightness to any gathering, encouraging those around her to join in the joy or joke of the moment. Reliable and full of spirit, Jazmien was a confidante to many, always there to lend an ear or share in life's adventures. She embraced both the highs and lows of life, inspiring others to do the same with her boundless joy and enthusiasm.

Jazmien leaves behind cherished memories with her two beautiful daughters, Sophia, 6 and Malani, 4. She is survived by her loving mother, Misty Cortes Hernandez, and father, John Albert Hernandez; 4 brothers and a sister: Alejandro, Elijah, Jordan, Eric, and Lisa. She was loved by grandmothers, Margarita Talamantez, and Carolyn Luna; grandfather, Eleazar Talamantez; and 6 nieces and nephews. She was Godmother to girls/sister from another mother, Lexi; and also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. As we say goodbye, let us remember that Jazmien taught us the importance of family, friendship, and the beauty of life. In every sunset and every smile, we will find a piece of Jazmien spirit, guiding us onward.
