Funeral services for Jearalene Cleave, 77, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Anderson Chapel A.M.E. Church, with the Rev. William M. Campbell Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Killeen Memorial Park.BRBRJearalene Wheeler Cleave, was born May 27, 1931 in Crystal Springs, MS., the eldest of two children born to Myrtice McDuffy Wheeler and Hollices Wheeler.
Mrs. Cleave grew up in the Shady Grove Community where she became a member of the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she accepted Christ at an early age. Mrs. Cleave attended Shady Grove School.
In 1968, Jearalene Wheeler became the wife of Sergeant WJ Cleave. To this union of 41 years wonderful God blessed years, one child was born.
After settling in the Killeen Community, Mrs Cleave joined Anderson Chapel African Methodist Church, where she remained faithful member and served as stewardess until her health began to fail her.

Ms. Cleave is survived by her husband, W.J. Cleave of Killeen, Daughters Regina Cleave of Austin and Norma Wilson of Terry, Ms.,brothers R.B. Wheeler of Crystal Springs, Ms., Edward Lee Wheeler of Ogden, UT.; 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Lynn Hughes, her parents, and one brother Charles Wheeler.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.BRBR
