Joe Farris

Graveside services for Joe R. Farris, 66, of Nolanville will be at 10 a.m. today at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville, with the Rev. Charles Grossman officiating. Interment will follow.BRBRMr. Farris was born Sept. 10, 1942, in Killeen. He died June 8, 2009, at his residence.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow W. Farris. Survivors are his mother, Narssie Farris of Nolanville; brothers, Lee Everett of Nolanville, Tommy Farris of Gatesville; and a sister, Mary Farris- Gault of Corpus Christi.BRBRMr. Farris worked for Arnold Plumbing.BRBRHe served in the National Guard from 1962 to 1968, returned to Killeen and worked as a plumber for numerous contractors.BRBRHis hobbies were hot rod cars, fishing and practical jokes.
