On October 7, 1953 a baby girl, Joeann Delores Jones was born to Mary Louise Butler and Porter Williams. Joeann was one of nine children born to her mother and father.
At an early age, Joeann knew God had a calling on her life. It wasn't until her mid-twenties that she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. From there she was on a mission to do the work of the Lord.
Joeann married Warren Donald Jones, who served and retired in the US Military. Unfortunately, she became a widow in 1989. She is the mother of 5 children and 7 grandchildren.
Joeann was ordained as a minister on April 2, 1995 at Nehemiah Temple Churches of Christ, Inc. For her radio ministry with WJRO radio station, she received numerous awards and citation as an outstanding broadcaster on July 26, 1997 in recognition and appreciation for meeting the spiritual needs of the community.
In 1995 Joeann begin her ministry, "New Beginnings" church inside the basement of her home. There were so many people in her community, young and old that she impacted with the word of God and her kindness. Joeann moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1998 were she continued in her ministry. Later she was lead to move to Killeen, Texas in 2008 answering God's call until the departure of this life. She lived out her motto, "Don't forget to tell someone about Jesus along the way!" Joeann loved family, friends and seafood and most of all answering the call of God for winning souls and ministering to the needs of all people. She always talked about the Lord Jesus Christ.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her 5 children, 7 grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
