SPC John Kanen Tousant, age 22, passed away on October 21, 2026, in Austin, Texas, while doing what he loved—riding his motorcycle.

Born on January 13, 2004, John graduated from Dominguez High School in Compton, California. He then joined the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, where he met the love of his life, Kiara. John dreamed of pursuing a career in art and spent time designing clothing and tattoos. These milestones reflected important parts of his young life and the future he was building.

John is remembered by his loving wife, Kiara Brewster; his father, Oliver (Myesha) Tousant Sr.; his mother, Leighetta Donaldson; his mother-in-law, Kerstin Brewster; his brothers, Oliver (Brittany) Tousant Jr. and Kieland Tousant; his sisters, Secret Tousant, Leanna Jinnies, and O'Myiha Tousant; his nieces, Sara Woodson and Gabriella Woodson; his nephew, Michael Woodson III; and his best friend and partner in crime, Ethan Ferrell. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bobby Brewster.

Though his life was brief, John’s memory remains an important part of the lives of those who knew him. His passing is deeply felt by his family and friends, who will carry forward the memories of his presence, his spirit, and the time they shared with him.

At this time, the family asks for privacy. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
