On November 17, 1949, Carmen Rosa Quinonez gave birth to Jose David Quinonez. Jose was the middle child of five siblings (two brothers and two sisters). When his mother was very ill, Jose always wanted to take care of her. A loving son, he would send her money monthly to take care of her from a far. Jose can to United States in 1974. He joined the Army Reserve in New York for a year, he then took time off to enjoy his hobby of fishing. In 1979, Jose returned to the Army.
During his time in the military at Fort Hood, Texas he met Gloria Jean Cooper. On May 12, 1982, Gloria and Jose were blessed with their son Joseph A. Quinonez. On September 16, 1982, Jose and Gloria were married. During their marriage, Jose was very supportive towards Gloria's goals and dreams in life.
Gloria's parents loved Jose deeply. In their spare time Gloria and Jose went on long walks and fished together. Jose personally liked working on cars after his time in military was over. He loved his son and step-son so much, where at one point he wanted to adopt his step-son, Gordon Allen. The family would attend a Spanish church, then shortly after they attended an English speaking church.
On August 3, 2001, Jose welcomed his first granddaughter Jayla Imanni Love-Quinonez. Two years later, on August 28, 2003, Aracelia Rivera Quinonez his second granddaughter was born. Jose adored both of his granddaughters very much. He also loved his family and created several wonderful memories with them. When his health began to fail him, his wife, son and a grandchild took care of him.
Sadly on Sunday, May 28, 2017, Jose David Quinonez passed away at the age of 67, leaving behind his precious wife, Gloria of 33 years; his son, Joseph A. Quinonez and his wife; a step-son Gordon Allen; granddaughters, Jayla Imanni Love-Quinonez and Aracelia Rivera-Quinonez.
