Jose Isabel Reyna Jr., 73, of Killeen, Texas was called home to be with our Lord on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Jose was born March 31, 1949, in Port Isabel, Texas to Jose and Juanita Reyna.
Jose was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a straight-forward man that never minced words. He said what he meant and meant was he said. You always knew where you stood with him. He was a man that believed in tough love and although he could be stoic, he showed his love and affection by his actions.
He was a man that loved his family deeply and loved to spend time just sitting and talking. He loved to garden and loved all types of animals especially horses. He loved driving around and exploring new places to visit.
Jose is preceded in death by: his parents, Jose and Juanita Reyna; and his two sisters, Elida Cruz and Helen Hagmann.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha Reyna, and his five children: Soyla Reyna, Rene Reyna, Rogenio Reyna, Andrea Maldonado, and Felis Reyna and his wife, Jessica; his siblings: Hector Reyna and his wife, Ninfa; Alicia Cortez, Aurora Granados and her husband, Carlos; Dr. Ernestina R. Ortiz and her husband, Damaso; San Juanita E Reyna and her husband, Gilberto; and Raquel Reyna.
Jose and Bertha had 11 grandchildren: Vicente Espinosa, Victor Espinosa, Veronica Espinosa, Josiah Reyna, Melina Reyna, Christopher Sawaya, Manuel Aguilar, Isabella Hughes, Arriana Reyna Ybarbo and her husband, Anthony; Jose F. Reyna, and Xavier Reyna; and 6 great-grandchildren: Savannah, Vicente, Sebastian, Kamden, Penelope, and Isabella
