Joseph Tolbert Jr., age 84, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022 in Copperas Cove, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen beginning at 8am. Burial will follow with Military Honors being rendered at Central Texas State Veteran's Cemetery.
Joseph was born on May 21, 1938 in Charleston, South Carolina. He joined the U.S. Army where he served as a food service specialist for 16 years, and spent 2 years serving in Vietnam, before retiring in 1984. Those that knew Joseph could always find him playing the lottery, hoping to win big, and watching football games on tv at his home.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 1 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
