Funeral services for Juanita Garcia Holden, 55, of Killeen, Texas will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, 8 February 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Located in Killeen at 1410 S. 2nd Street, Killeen, TX.76542. Internment will full military honors will follow in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery. Juanita passed away on 4 February 2008 at Scott and White Hospital after a short illness. Viewing will be held at Harper-Talasek funeral Home in Killeen, Texas on Thursday February 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. She is survived by her Husband, Horace W. Holden of Killeen, two daughters, Piedad Linda Lim Rothey and Adam of Irving, TX, Carol Keyser and David of Killeen, TX., One son Horace Jr. and Jaimee Holden of Cypress Spring, Texas. Three grandchildren, Grace Rothey, of Irving, TX., Haley Keyser and Gavyn Keyser of Killeen, TX. Juanita is survived by her mother Piedad Arvizu Garcia of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She is also survived by eight brothers, Tomas Garcia, Blas Garcia, and Calixto Garcia of Killeen, Santos Garcia of Mexico City, Moises Garcia of Dallas, TX, Crispin Garcia of Tampico, Mexico, Matias Garcia of San Luis Potosi, Hemerejildo Garcia of Tampico, Mexico. Juanita began her military career in 1973 and served 20 years active duty military until she retired in 1993. During her military career she served in administration and Postal service. She served tours in Belgium, Korea, and Germany. After retirement from the Army, she was employed with Wal-Mart in Copperas Cove, TX, until her death.Juanita was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and touched the lives of all she came in contact with.
