Graveside services for Julia Janelle Neal Byrd, 76, of Killeen will be at 11:00 a.m. at Killeen City Cemetery with Reverend Weldon Hicks officiating.

Janelle Neal Byrd died Dec 4, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family in Killeen.
She was born in Hamilton, Texas on 17 Jan. 1940, to Mark and Ola Beatrice Neal. When the family moved to Killeen, she went to Ave D Elementary School and Killeen High School.

She married her high school sweetheart, Ronnie Byrd on Aug. 28, 1958 and raised three wonderful boys, Billy, Blake and Greg. They were able to celebrate 58 years of marriage this year with her family and friends. She stated that it was the happiest time of her life because she could celebrate it with her family and friends. She was a member of the First Trimmier Baptist Church and loved going until her health prevented it.

Janelle was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Loren Lee Neal, sisters Myrna Mae Neal, and Loyce Lorrain Kuehnle.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Debbie of Gatesville; son and daughter-in-law, Blake and Rae Ann of Waco; son Greg of Killeen; sister, Wilma Johnson of Waco.; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Doris Ann Neal of Hamilton, Texas; sister, Nancy Schroyer of Cleburn; sister, Clota Cates of Cash, Oklahoma; and sister, Ann Fogle of Harker Heights, 7 grandchildren, Dustin Byrd, Amanda Lindsey, Ronelle Byrd, Jordyn Byrd, Bailee Byrd, Morgan Byrd and Michael Byrd; and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends.



In lieu of flowers, the family request a memorial in Janelle's name be made to the First Trimmier Baptist Church at 6405 Chaparrel Road, Killeen, Texas 76542.
