Karen Maureen Hill, 65 of Ft. Worth, passed from this life Tuesday, August 6, 2024. Services will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with a visitation starting at 10 am and funeral immediately following at 11 am. Burial will be in Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.
Karen was born on September 25, 1958, to Don and Francis Miller in Alameda, California. She attended Rio Mesa High School in Camarillo, California and graduated with the class of 1976. She was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and served as a TD (Simulator Technician) and an AT (Aviation Electronics Technician). Karen was very creative and enjoyed painting, writing, gardening, cooking, and sewing. She was a member of Potter House Church. Karen was also a published author of two books, “Cat Tails” and “My Peekaboo Moon.” She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and daughter. Karen was a beautiful soul with a love of life and gift of service. We are all truly blessed to have had the honor and privilege of having her in our lives.
Karen is preceded in death by her father, Roy Don Miller, and sisters, Deborah Kathleen Wong, and Jennifer Mary Miller.
Survivors include her mother, Frances Mary Miller; husband, Philip Eugene Hill; sons, Jeremy Andrew Hill, and Timothy Franklin Hill; sisters, Susan Patricia Austen, and Carolyn Elaine Klenner; and seven grandchildren, Kieara, Christian, Colleen, Colt, Areya, Michael, and Naomi.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Pastor Robert Dodd, and all their family and friends for their love and support during their time of loss.
