Services for Laura Castro Garcia, 86, of Brackettville will be at 1 p.m Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Killeen, followed by interment services at the Killeen City Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia passed away in her sleep Dec. 31, 2009. brbrShe was born March 29, 1923, in Brackettville to Octaviano Castro and Maria Jimenez. She worked for many years with Killeen ISD food service. She retired in 1985. brbrShe leaves behind her loving family: sons, Bob Garcia and his wife, Patsy, Mario Garcia and his wife, Jeanette; daughters, Mary Linda Garcia, Nydia Sharon and her husband, Don; seven grandchildren, Sean Klorres and his wife, April, Cody Klorres, Jason Brooks and Gwen Hooks, Jamie Blank and her husband, Jason, Jarrod Sharon and Patrice Harris, Joshua Sharon and Adrian Garcia; six great-grandchildren, Dakota Klorres, Dillyn Blank, Antonio Brooks, Amari Brooks, Mike Harris and Makiya Sharon. brbrShe was preceded in death by her husband, Geronimo F. Garcia, and her daughter, Cordelia Dilly Thornton. brbrVisitation is from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday followed by a Rosary from 6 to 7 p.m. at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements. br
