Lea Edwards

Memorial services for Lea Ann Edwards, 54, of Killeen, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at HarperTalasek Chapel in Killeen with Boyce Edwards officiating. Mrs. Edwards died July 2, 2011.

She was a dedicated registered nurse for 38 years. Her love for people and taking care of peoples needs led her to the decision to become a nurse.

She loved spending time with her family, was a devoted mother and grandmother and wife. She and her husband, Preston Edwards Jr., loved hunting and fishing together, and they were planning another fishing trip to the coast in the near future.

Mrs. Edwards will be sorely missed by all who know her and worked with her but especially by her husband of 34 years, Preston. Other survivors include her son, Garner Edwards and his wife, Kara her daughter, Jacinda Ann Edwards special friend, John Hill and his daughter, Hailey Hill, of Austin grandchildren, Justin and Myles her mother, Faye Jackson brother, Mike Jackson motherinlaw, Doris Edwards sisterinlaw, Dorothy Ray Edwards Lee niece, Shannon Acker greatniece, Brianna Acker nephew, Charles Stiles two greatnephews, Casey Ryan Stiles and Chance Edward Stiles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Lee Jackson her fatherinlaw, Preston Edwards Sr. and her grandparents.

HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
