Leon Collier

Funeral services for Leon Butch Collier, 79, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.

Born on March 3, 1933, in Southington, Ohio, he was the third of five children born to the late Harold and Alma Hurd Collier. Leon was raised and educated in Warren, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 38 years, Anna Zuber a sister, Jean Gintert of Newton Falls, Ohio a brother Harlan Collier of Niles, Ohio.

Survivors include his wife Karin Larson of Killeen three daughters Linda Mayo and her husband Chris of Killeen, Texas and Lisa Carroll and her husband Michael of Copperas Cove, Texas and Kathy Palmer Gaspard and her husband Patrick of Eunice, LA. his two sisters Arlene Flowers and Verna McNeill both of Warren, Ohio. Family in Germany include Heidi and Karl Maurer of RottachEgern Germany. Monika and Viktor Karbjuhn of Bad Wiessee. Hermi and Heinz Gotschl of RottachEgern. 9 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

In Lieu of flowers donations may go to the Disabled Veterans Association or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
