Levi Holifield

Levi Henry Holifield, was born in Dallas, Texas on September 6, 1940. In 1959, he joined the Army where he served for 22 years. He served two tours in Vietnam. His medals include: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 3 Palms, Good Conduct Medal with 6 Knots, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

He loved serving his country

In 1974, he married Brigitte Eitelmann. They were married for 46 years until his passing. Levi and Brigitte raised 6 children together.  He loved his wife more than anything in the world.

Levi is Survived by his wife Brigitte Holifield, a son, Ronald Holifield and his wife, Melodie of Kyle, Texas; Manuela Holifield of Coalgate, Oklahoma; Baerbel Repella and her husband, Mark of Austin, Texas; and Levi Holifield, JR. and his wife, Yevette of Killeen, Texas;  A Granddaughter who was raised by Brigitte and Levi, Melissa Miner her Husband Daniel of Wann, Oklahoma;  He had 13 Grandchildren 12 Great Grandchildren.

Those who preceded him in death were his Mother, Ruth Marie Compton; his Father William Dolphus Holifield;  Stepfather, Virgil Samuel Compton; daughter Christine Manberg; and a Grand-daughter Nicole Manberg.

He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Killeen, Texas.

Levi Loved the Lord and his family. He went home to be with our Heavenly Father on February 12, 2021.

He was loved by his family and many friends; he will be greatly missed.
