Lidie Shiller

Funeral services for Lidie G. Shiller, 81, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lara Whitley and Don Johnson officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m. at Taylor City Cemetery.BRBRMrs. Shiller died Feb. 20, 2009, at her residence.BRBRShe was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Buckholts.BRBRShe was educated in Buckholts and married Leon Shiller in Taylor in 1948. They moved to Killeen in 1964. She is remembered as a homemaker and a great cook. She was active in the VFW Post No. 3892 Auxiliary.BRBRShe is survived by her son, Jackie Shiller of Killeen; daughters, Ginger Mebane of Belton and Kandy Mennor of Killeen; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.BRBRShe was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Julie Malina Zett; her husband, Leon Shiller; four brothers, John, Frank, Leon and Joe Zett; and one great-grandchild, Christopher Williams.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.BR
