Linda Lou Black Duckworth 75 years old, passed away on March 18, 2023, at home. Services will be held on Friday, March 31 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
Linda was born in Clarksdale Mississippi on March 08, 1948, Linda grew up in Rena Lara in the Mississippi Delta, went to Highschool in Greenville, MS. and fulfilled a promise to her daddy by graduating in 1968. Linda had a few careers during her life to include working in a sewing factory, a corrections officer, retail and radio DJ! But her favorite job was being a mother and grandmother, which she stated she didn’t get paid enough for it, but she loved it. Linda loved to sing and write poems, she is loving, kind, and trustworthy.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, John Herren and Rosalin Herren, and Mitchell and Mae Black; parents, Russell and Lillian Black; and sister, Betty Thomas.
Survivors include Russell Marion Black, Shirley Williams, Earl Martin, Mylinda Faye Miller, Robby Von Zuck II, Brittney Bushey, Ashlee Barbour, Joshua White, Sarah Robin Zuck, Megan Zuck, Tiffany Zuck, Brooklynn Foster, Briley Foster, Branden Bushey, Legacy Reddick, Lily Barbour, Teddy Steinbeiser.
Earl and Linda request memorials go to the American Cancer Society.
