Celebration of a Life Well Lived

Linda F Mosley Wilson, the daughter of Johnnie Mosley Sr and Alkansas (AII-Kan-zas) Levy Roby Mosley, was born April 19th 1950 in Sallis, MS. Linda's mother often said she was a happy child who always wanted to do things her own way. She never crawled on the floor as a baby..."just stood up and started walking." At age 4, she would stand on top of the dresser so that she could see the mirror to do her own hair. This precocious beginning was a sign of things to come. Linda was very active in her local church for many years and also joined her mother and aunt in the Eastern Star Organization in her younger years. She loved to cook and got plenty of practice with her large family.

Linda received her primary education at Tipton School in Kosciusko MS where she was a popular young lady with many friends who she kept in contact with throughout her life. At age 17 she moved with her family to Los Angeles California where she completed high school and her higher education. She received certification in cosmetology and nursing before going on to receive a degree in Special Education from Long Beach City College. She worked in the Lakewood California School District as a Speech Pathologist.

Linda met and married Clarence Wilson in Los Angeles CA November 25th 1971. This loving union was blessed with two beautiful children, Clarence Cedric Wilson and Veronica Wilson. Because of Clarence's service in the United States Navy, the family was deployed with him to such locations as Alameda County in Northern CA, Yokuska, Japan and Great Lakes IL. So, you could say that Linda served too. After retirement from the Navy, Clarence's business presented another opportunity for them to move to Virginia in 2005. Clarence and Linda retired to Clarence's home state of Texas in 2013.

Linda was called home on May 18th 2018 at her home in Salado Texas. Waiting on the other side are her parents Johnnie and Alkansas Mosley, her Brothers RJ Williams and Earl Denson Mosley, and her nephew Johnny Mosley III. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Clarence Wilson of Salado Texas, her daughter Veronica Wilson of Fort Worth TX, her son Clarence Cedric Wilson of Salado TX, five brothers; Elmer Gene Roby (The Philipines) Wilmer Roby (Bloomington CA), Leroy Mosley (Fontana CA) Johnny Mosley Jr and Billy Mosley of Kosciusko MS - Four sisters; Lilliam Roby Hughes (Kosciusko MS) Sarah P Harvey (Bloomington CA ) Jerri Mosley (Pomona CA) and Clarissa Mosley of Williamsburg VA. She will also be missed by a host of uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews and cousins living around the country too numerous to list.
