Lino Gonzales

September 23, 1931 — June 8, 2014


A celebration of life service for Lino R. Gonzales will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Mr. Gonzales died June 8, 2014. He was born in San Antonio to Inocenio and Matilda Gonzales.

He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and served many years working in the churches Fest of All.


He enjoyed playing golf, fishing in Port Aransas with his family and loved the outdoors.


The family wishes to thank Millie and Arturo Cortez, Hill Country Nursing Center staff and thirdfloor nursing staff at Metroplex Hospital.


Survivors include his six children, Vangie Mankin Ted of Lakeland, Fla., Pablo Gonzales of Huntington, W.Va., Edward Gonzales Minerva of Kingsville, Richard Gonzales Elva, Cyndi Rowe Chet and Sandra OBrien, all of Killeen sisters, Cande Zamarron and Anita Munoz of San Antonio 15 grandchildren seven greatgrandchildren four greatgreatgrandchildren beloved dog Mary and numerous fourlegged grandchildren.


Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
