Funeral services for Lizzie Belle Wells, 101, of Killeen, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Chapel with Dr. John C. Hallum officiating. Burial will follow at the Killeen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Wells died Dec. 25, 2017, at a local nursing home. She was born Sept. 10, 1916, to Wesley Robert and Lorraine (Fincher) Brazzil in Gatesville.
Mrs. Wells has been a member of the community ever since her birth. She married A.J. Wells on July 11, 1936, in Flat. She and her husband A.J. owned and operated the Wells Mobile Home Park in Killeen for over 40 years. She was a very caring, loving woman whose life was centered around her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Wells was preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Wells; son, Rodney Wells; parents, Wesley and Lorraine Brazzil; sister, Elsie Holt; and brother, Robert Brazzil.
She is survived by sons, Doyle Wells and his wife, Linda, of Belton; Jack Wells and his wife, Linda, of Harker Heights; Danny Wells and his wife, Carol, of Decatur; Nathan Wells and his wife, Rita, of Killeen; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
