A Celebration of Mass for Ms. Lourdes Marie Santos Taijeron, 60, of Killeen will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 19th at Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary at 7pm.
Marie passed away Monday, October 10th, 2016 in Baylor Scott & White hospital.
She was born in Tamuning, Guam to Jose Jesus Taijeron and Rita Torres Santos. Before leaving Guam in 1995 to start her life as a nurse's aide in Killeen, she worked for Guam Memorial hospital.
She loved to keep company with her family and close friends and although Lourdes never had children of her own, she raised many of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own. She found enjoyment in simple pleasures such as fishing and cooking for her entire neighborhood. Marie was well known for her infamous homemade bread and homemade donuts. A very free spirited, generous person, one couldn't help but love her. A sweet heart by nature, she cared lovingly for both her parents until their deaths but could also be very stubborn when provoked. Marie was a very courteous and friendly person who will be missed by those who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Francisco and Joaquin Taijeron; her sister, Doris Taijeron.
Survivors include her siblings, Dolores Aguero of Stanton, CA; Roman Taijeron of Houston, TX; Florentina San Agustin of Killeen, TX; Tommy Taijeron of Long Beach, CA; Teddy Taijeron of Mililani, HI; Paul Taijeron of Odessa, TX; Jesse Taijeron of Yucca Valley, CA; Antolin Taijeron of San Diego, CA; Alan Taijeron of Killeen, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
