Lupe Castaneda

A Requiem Mass for Lupe G. Castaneda, 83, of Harker Heights will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights, where she was a long-time member. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery. Mrs. Castaneda died May 14, 2008 in her home.

She was born December 28, 1924, in Mercedes, TX. Castaneda was homemaker and contributed too many charities to include St. Pauls Ladies of Charity. Mrs. Castaneda was preceeded in death by a son Joel F. Castaneda and Husband Juan T. Castaneda, her parents Gabriel and Rosa Garces.

Survivors include one son John Castaneda of Pasco, WA, six grandchildren, David, Jaryn and Julia Castaneda of Killeen. Linda Ruiz of Vacaville, CA, Lisa Castaneda of Kennewick, WA and David Castaneda of Tacoma, WA. 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
