Graveside services for Lynn Larue Clines, 48, of Killeen will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with Elder Anthony V. Lumpkin officiating.
Lynn was born May 4, 1961, in Waco at The Hillcrest Medical Hospital. She was the fourth of six children born to Ethel Mae Massiegill and second of two children born to Tommy D. Smith. She was baptized in 1972 at The New Zion Baptist Church by Reverend Norman Shaw.
Lynn finished her education at McGregor High School in McGregor in 1980. In 1989 she moved to Copperas Cove, and became a certified nursing assistant. She worked as a nursing assistant for 17 years at the Wind Crest Rehab and Nursing Center and five years at Hill Country Living Center in Copperas Cove.
She met Mr. Jerry Clines in Killeen and they united in Holy Matrimony on September 12, 2002, and they were a devoted couple for 7 years and 7 months.
Mrs. Clines was preceded in death by her parents her grandmother, Willie Taylor her brother, David C. Slaughter and sister, Gloria Dean Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory her faithful husband, Jerry Clines of Killeen son, Gary Lavell Hicks Jr. of Killeen four brothers, Michael W. Slaughter of Waco Theodore T. Slaughter Jr. and wife Linda of Grand Prairie William E. Johnson Jr. and wife Peggy of Fort Worth and John F. Johnson and wife Linda of Rockwall, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
