Margarita Gomez

Memorial services for Margarita Gomez, 59, of Killeen, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall with Angelo Reyes officiating. Mrs. Gomez died Jan. 27, 2011, in a local hospital.

She was born May 31, 1951, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, where she was also educated. She married Jose M. Gomez in 1977, and was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She loved children, and was a child care provider. Mrs. Gomez had a passion for cooking. She was a member of the Jehovahs Witness Kingdom Hall in Killeen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Cristina Garcia one brother and one sister.

Survivors include her husband, Jose M. Gomez of Killeen son, Jose M. Gomez Sr. of Killeen daughters, Lydia E. GomezDworshak of Killeen and Amanda Gomez of Killeen four brothers four sisters and six grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
