Maria Lovell

Funeral services for Maria Lovell, 75, of Killeen will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the East Side Baptist Church in Killeen with Bro. Floyd Gage and Bro. John Hallume officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lovell passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at a local hospital.
Maria was born in Germany on August 27, 1940. She attended school in Gurzberg Germany. She married Gale Lovell in Germany on April 16, 1959 and moved to the United States in 1960. Her husband's military career allowed her to travel the world until they settled in Killeen. They later continued to travel as members of the Lone Star Travelers Club. She was an active member of the East Side Baptist Church for many years. Maria was a tax preparer and office manager for H & R Block until her retirement in 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Lovell, a son, James Lovell, her parents and a brother, Albert Meissler.
Survivors include her son, Steven Lovell; her daughter, Yvette Peck; her sister, Hanne Hoerger; and 5 beloved grandchildren, John Richard Cross, Jeb Lovell, Ann-Marie Hogan and husband Timothy, Steven Michael Lovell and Dallas Lovell.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
