Services for Martha Ann Brown, 92, of Killeen will be at 2 p.m. Friday at HarperTalasek Chapel in Killeen. Interment will follow at Killeen City Cemetery. Mrs. Brown died Jan. 3, 2010, at her residence.
She was born July 29, 1917, in Frankfurt, Germany, to the late Anna Winkel. She came to Killeen in 1964. Her hobbies included puzzles, game shows and crocheting dolls and booties. She was a member of VFW 3892 Auxiliary and the American Legion 223 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughters, Gerda Schimmelschmidt Dieter of Germany Marjetta Long Rusty of Milheim, Pa. son, Waldemar Walter Brown and his wife, Sheryl, of Killeen grandchildren, James Long and Maryann Long of Pennsylvania, Kelly Brown of Killeen and six greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Brown her parents two brothers one sister in Germany a daughter, Martha Meyerhofer of Frankfurt, Germany and a grandson, Reiner Schimmelschmidt of Odenwalt, Germany.
Memorials may be made to Heritage Care Hospice at 451 Central Texas Expressway Harker Heights, Texas 76548.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
