Michael Wood

Michael Eugene Wood was born on October 1, 1961 to Freddie E. Wood and Renate L. (Freier) Torres in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

A gifted athlete, he was an All Star basketball player for Brussels Belgium High school which he would later graduate from. He attended Inver Hills Community College in Minnesota.

Michael enjoyed the outdoors; he was an avid fan of hunting and fishing.
He was also an accomplished Mechanic and a proud, devoted, diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.

A family man, loving father and son, he will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors left to cherish his memories include his son, Michael Eugene Wood JR. of Killeen, Texas; his parents, Freddie E. Wood of Ruston, LA and Renate L. Torres of Killeen; step-father, Juan J. Torres, sister, Anita J. Wood and her husband Willie Charles Anderson of Killeen, Texas; brother, Andreas A. Wood and his wife Karen of McGregor, Texas; sister, Soraya V. Caulkins and her husband Daniel of Fort Worth, Texas and half-sister, Irena Thomas of Oregon; three nieces, Chantel Wood and Whitney Anderson both of Killeen and Brandy Wood of McGregor, Texas.
