Funeral services for Mildred Brewer, 76, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at East Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. John C. Hallum officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Brewer died after a long illness on Aug. 18, 2011, at a Temple hospital. She was born Nov. 2, 1934, to Curtis Elmer and Geneva Lou Snider in Terry County.
She married Billy Ray Brewer, former pastor of East Side Baptist Church, and they moved to Killeen in 1976. A pastors wife, she also worked for Gibsons, TGY and Winns. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, needlepoint and quilting.
Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray, in 1977 her parents, Curtis Elmer and Geneva Lou Snider and her brother, Ronald C. Snider.
Survivors include her son, Nathan Ray Brewer of Killeen her daughter, Sonja Ward of Ontario, Ore. her brother, Lloyd Adrin Snider of Newport News, Va. her sisters, Lynda Hubbard of Gainesville, Fla., Christine Young of Lubbock and Margie Kirkland of Kingsland and one grandchild, Daniel Ray Brewer of Ontario, Ore.

Visitation is all day, until 8 p.m., Tuesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
