Myrtle L. Cockerham 89 passed away Monday December 12, 2011 in Waco,TX.
Myrtle was born September 2, 1922 in Dayton, OH. to parents Johne Lee and Florence Roush. Myrtle joined the Army in 1945 and attained the rank of Sergeant. She married James William Cockerham on August 31, 1946. Myrtle was a secretary at Darnell Army Hospital for 17 years.
Mre. Cockerham is preceded in death by husband, James Cockerham, two sons James Cockerham Jr., Daniel Cockerham and her beloved granddaughter Lanie Cockerham.
Mrs. Cockerham is survived by two sons, John Cockerham and wife Darla, and David Cockerham and wife Teresa two daughters, Martha Edwards and husband Jodie, and Sarah Lynch and husband Rick.
Seventeen grandchildren and numerous amount of great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30p.m. on Saturday December17th, 2011 at the Youngsport Church of Christ loccated on FM2484.
