Nikky M. Mitra Johnson

Nikky Johnson, age 35 of Killeen passed from this life Thursday, March 13, 2025. Services will be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen on Saturday, March 29, 2025, with a visitation starting at 5 pm, a holy rosary recited at 6:30 pm, and funeral service immediately following at 7 pm. A reception to honor the beautiful life of Nikky will be held from 7:30 pm to 10 pm at the American Legion Post 573 in Harker Heights, 225 E. Cox Drive.

Nikky was born on May 26, 1989, to Rolando and Marilou Mitra in the Philippines. She attended school at Central Texas College and worked for Verizon Wireless.

Nikky was a light in every room she entered – full of life, laughter, and warmth. She had a radiant personality that drew people in and made everyone feel at home in her presence.

A nurturing and devoted mother to four beautiful children, Nikky lived for her family. Her love for her husband, whom she adored since they were teens, was deep and unwavering – a true example of lifelong partnership and love.

She was a beloved daughter and a cherished sister, offering unconditional love, support, and joy to her family. Her bond with them was unbreakable, and her presence will forever be felt in their hearts.

Nikky was more than a wife, mother, daughter, and sister – she was a loyal friend to so many, always ready with a listening ear, a kind word, or a spontaneous dance to lift your spirits. She loved to sing, dance, and celebrate life with those she loved most. Her energy was contagious, her laughter unforgettable.

Survivors include her parents, Rolando and Marilou Mitra; her beloved husband, James Edward Johnson Jr.; son, Cameron Johnson; daughters, Janiyah Horton, Jayla Johnson, and Jade Johnson; brother, Branden C. Mitra; and Shannon Johnson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and strength. Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made will last forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
