Nina Patterson

Funeral services for Nina Alma Patterson, 92, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, with the Rev. Skip Blancett officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.BRBRPatterson died Dec. 6, 2008, in a local nursing home. She was born Oct. 17, 1916, in Dulaney, Ky.BRBRShe worked on the family farm for many years. She married Johnnie Patterson in 1936. They moved to Killeen in 1951.BRBRHer favorite hobbies were playing cards, chicken foot, and sewing.BRBRShe was preceded in death by her husband Johnnie and her parents Enoch and Sadie Scott.BRBRSurvivors include her sons, Royce H. Patterson and his wife, Jody, of Austin, Gerry L. Patterson and his wife, Ines, of Pahrump, Nev.; her daughter, Carol G. Sutton, her husband, Don, of Harker Heights; her sisters, Jettie Scott of Orlando, Fla., Emma Rose Oatts of Jonesville, Va., Mildred Blakeley of Sturgis, Ky.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.BRBRMemorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, building fund, 508 N Gray St, Killeen, TX 76541.BR
