Norman passed away Apr 2, 2016 in a Round Rock hospital.
Norman was born June 29, 1930 in Union, MO. He joined the US Air Force in 1947 and served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in 1973 after 26 years of service. Norman then went to work for the US Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service for them. Norman loved to be busy and help others. He owned and operated the Lakeside Motosport race track in Bastrop TX, raised Boer goats in Hamilton, and loved refurbishing old cars and attending old car shows.
Norman is survived by his wife of 61 years Thelma Jean Montgomery French; daughters, Sherry Knight and spouse Darrow, Judi Beckham and spouse Jack; sons, Norman Lester French JR (Rocky) and spouse Naz; Mart French, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
