In loving memory of Ok Soon Arthur, a woman whose life was a testament to resilience, love, and strength. Ok Soon was born in war-torn Korea on August 15, 1937, and despite the challenges of her early years as a foster child, she always held onto dreams of a better life.
Described as a sweet and kind mother, Ok Soon's unwavering love and protection for her children knew no bounds. She was a faithful wife to Ronald A. Arthur, with whom she shared the joys and sorrows of life. Together, they welcomed four children into the world – two boys and two girls. Tragically, Ok Soon experienced the heartache of losing her eldest son at the tender age of 5. Despite this unimaginable loss, she carried on with courage and grace.
Life presented more challenges when Ok Soon's beloved husband met a tragic end in a fatal car accident. Left to navigate the journey of life without her partner by her side, she continued to raise her children with love and dedication. Not only did she shoulder the responsibility of her family, but she also cared for her elderly mother-in-law until it was no longer physically possible.
Ok Soon found solace and joy in simple pleasures – from her love for music and dancing to her enjoyment of watching old movies. Her warm presence and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her deeply, leaving behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
On May 12, 2024, in Killeen, Texas, Ok Soon Arthur bid farewell to this world, leaving behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on through her surviving family members: her children, Ronald M. Arthur, Cai M. Arthur, and Ruth S. Arthur and grandchildren, Kimber and Judson Miller who carry forward her spirit of strength and resilience.
May her kind soul rest in eternal peace as she reunites with those who went before her. Ok Soon Arthur will be dearly missed but never forgotten for the beauty she brought into this world through her kindness and unwavering love.
