Services for Olivia Adelia Richter Emmrich, 85, of Belton, are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Giddings with the Rev. Vic Killain officiating. Internment will be at Issac Hill Cemetery in Roundtop.BRBRMrs. Richter died March 28, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1924, in Giddings to Walter and Emma Emmrich.BRBRMrs. Richter was educated in Giddings. She later married Oswald M. Richter. During World War II, she served as part of the Coastal Watchers Service in Texas.BRBRThey moved to Killeen in 1946 and Mrs. Richter worked for the Copperas Cove Independent School District as a cook for many years. She loved to cook and garden.BRBRShe was a member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Belton, and a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.BRBRMrs. Richter was preceded in death by her husband.BRBRShe is survived by her son, Kenneth D. Richter, of Belton; daughter, Linda D. Hayner, Lawndale, Calif.; four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.BRBRVisitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen. The funeral home in handling arrangements.BRBRMemorials may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church at 1215 South Wall St., Belton, TX 76513.BR
