In Detroit, MI on February 25, 1930, Oria Sr and Elmira Biddle were blessed with the birth of a son; Oria David Biddle Jr.
Oria grew up during the time of depression for this nation in a loving home learning the value of family. His parents taught him to stand firmly on his own two feet.
After graduating from high school, he joined the United States Army and developed a love for boxing. While stationed in Germany, he found the love of his life, Renate Petronella Lorenz. Renate was instrumental in ending Oria's love for boxing when she had the privilege to watched one of his match's. Seeing the aftermath of the bout; which he had won, was more than enough for her to plead her case that he should stop,. He did so willingly for his love.
The love between Oria and Renate stood the test of time for over five decades and was blessed with four children. He retired from the Military 1973 after 26 years of service. He continued to work for the government for over 25 more years. Following a second retirement, Oria was able to remain near his family and enjoy his later years beaming with pride as the family continued to grow and prosper.
