Paul C. Cathey Sr. passed away March 5, 2022 at his home in Nolanville, TX surrounded by his family. Services will be held on March 22, 2022, at 11am at Harper-Talasek in Killeen, TX. Burial service will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 pm located at 11463 State Highway 195, Killeen, TX 76542. Visitation will be on March 21st from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Harper-Talasek.
Paul C. Cathey Sr. was born on March 28, 1942 in Hillsboro, Texas. He married his wife June C. Collins on January 28, 1965. Paul C. Cathey Sr. served 27 years in the U.S Army and retired in August of 1994. His hobbies consisted of collecting, preaching, and giving his heart to God in the church he built in Nolanville, TX.
Preceded in death by his mother, Maggie M. Tanner; father, Floyd G. Cathey; sisters, Hellen Joe Cathey Massey and Virginia Cathey Bogus; brother, Eddie Vernon Cathey; and daughter, Betty June Cathey.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, June Collins Cathey; sons, Paul C. Cathey Jr. and Daniel L. Cathey; daughter, Brittany Shae Cathey; grandchildren, Brian C. Gaskins, Lisa Jackson, Cody Jackson, Cody Cathey, Dylan Cathey, Harley Cathey, Betty Cathey, Charity Cathey, Matthew Cathey and Joseph Cathey; and great-grandchildren, Laelah Villegas, Elijah Villegas, Colton Vankirk, Parker Jackson, Dwight Cathey, Waylon Cathey, Madylan Cathey, Emma Jackson and Amelia Greason.
