Rex Oliver Lucas, 53, of Killeen, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Rex was born on December 16, 1971, in Dover, Delaware, to Nicanor M. Lucas and Ruby J. Lucas. He later married the love of his life, Michelle A. Lucas, on June 18, 1992, and together they built a life rooted in faith, love, and unwavering devotion to family.

Rex attended Pensacola State College (PSC) and worked in Nutrition Services, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. A gifted craftsman, Rex could create, fix, or build anything he set his hands to. His brisket was legendary—famously known by family and friends as the best in the entire state of Texas. He loved the great outdoors and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Rex was a humble man with a heart of gold. He lived his life with honor, courage, and an unshakeable faith in God. His gentle spirit, selflessness, and strength touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a warrior of God until his final breath, and he will be deeply missed by everyone blessed to have been part of his journey.
