Services for Ri Chun Yo, 67, of Harker Heights, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jong Nam Song officiating. Interment will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.BRBRHe died Jan. 1, 2008, at his residence.BRBRRi Chun Yo was born Aug. 17, 1940, in Seoul, South Korea. He received a law degree from Korea University and immigrated to the United States on Feb. 25, 1970. Yo was a supervisor for the Mobil Chemical Co. and past president of the Federation of Korean Associations of the Mid-South for the years of 1974, 1975, 1983 and 1999 to 2000. He was a member of the National Unification Presidential Advisory Council.BRBRYo was the first president and founder of the Killeen Korean Society. He has received the key to the city of Killeen and April 30 was declared Mr. Yo Day after him.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Chong Suk Yo of Harker Heights; sons, Dr. In Soo Yo of Houston, In Churl Yo of Austin; daughter, Hye Kyong Shinn of Philadelphia, Pa.; sisters, Lee Suk Yo of Austin, Lee Soon Yo of Harker Heights; and five grandchildren.BRBRThe family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.BRBRMemorials may be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church, 102 E.
