Richard John Chisholm- known to all who loved him as Richard, Yoho, and Johnny-passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his home in Harker Heights, Texas, at the age of 88. Born in Canton, New York, Richard lived a full and meaningful life marked by unwavering family devotion and deep faith. He and his beloved wife, Chong, shared 42 years of marriage rooted in profound love, commitment, and devotion to one another. Anyone who knew Richard knew that when he began a story with "short story," you should settle in-because his stories were never short, but were always worth hearing. He was kind, opinionated, stubborn in the best ways, and loved his family and friends unconditionally.

Richard spent his career as a financial analyst for the North Broward Hospital District in Broward County, Florida. After 20 years in South Florida, he and his wife, Chong, returned to central Texas in 2007, where they made Harker Heights their home. He and Chong are long-standing and cherished members of the Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church community, and his faith was a cornerstone of his life, alongside his love of golf, reading, and the precious time spent with family.

Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Chong; his children, Kimberly, Ricky, Lisa, Brian, and Andy; nine grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. He is also survived by his brother, Bill Chisholm, his wife, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and EilaJGiven) Chisholm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December/, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church, 1000 FM 2410, Harker Heights, TX 76548.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Richard's name to Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Donations may be made online at https://www.wesharegiving.org/app/giving/WeShare-2071?tab=home
