Rita Albert

Funeral services for Rita B. Albert, 84, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Adam Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
Mrs. Albert died Dec. 30, 2012, at a local nursing home. She was born Feb. 8, 1928, in False River, La., where she was raised. She moved to Killeen with her husband in 1952. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Albert was preceded in death by her parents, James Ballard and Levie David a daughter, Linda Ross and two brothers, Allan and James Ballard.
Survivors include her husband, Herman Albert of Killeen son, Michael Albert of Lawton, Okla. daughters, Charlotte Bell and Mary Miller of Killeen brothers, Earl Ballard of Mandville, La., and Laurie Ballard of New Roads, La. sisters, Nethel Ulmer of Lecompte, La., and Levie David of Jarreau, La. nine grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
