Celebrating the Life of Our Beloved Son, Father, Uncle, and Friend
With heavy hearts and endless gratitude for the joy Robert brought into our lives, we celebrate the life of an extraordinary son, father, brother, uncle, and friend. Known fondly to his family and friends as Rob A.K.A. "Tyme Tyme"—a special name given to him by his grandfather. Above all else, he was a devoted and affectionate father. Even when he was away from Texas and living at his second home in Wisconsin, he never let the distance separate him from his children. Almost every single day, he took the opportunity to call home—laughing with them, checking on how they were doing, and playfully making sure they were behaving. His world revolved around his family, and his heart was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved.
He possessed a rare, infectious smile that could light up any room, paired with a goofy, playful nature that made him the ultimate uncle and the life of the party. Cooking was both his craft and his pure joy. He worked for years in the restaurant industry doing what he loved, but to us, he was simply the chef of the family. Nothing brought people together quite like his food, cooked with heart, skill, passion. He was truly a gifted and well-rounded soul, he had a deep, analytical mind and a natural gift for listening, making him a trusted confidant and a true deep thinker. His intellect was matched by a profound love for history and an unshakeable loyalty to those he held dear. Music was another of his great passions—he had a remarkable ear for it, always finding the right rhythm for any moment.
Yet, for all his sharp intelligence and deep thoughts, he kept things wonderfully simple. He had an unapologetic sweet tooth—never turning down a bag of Sour Patch Kids—and found genuine peace in simple days out in nature. His favorite stomping ground, Long Branch Park in
Killeen was where he loved to hang out, kick back, and enjoy the day.
His legacy lives on in the music he played, the incredible meals he cooked for us, the deep conversations we’ll never forget, and, most importantly, in the eyes of his children and the family he adored so deeply. He was a bright light, a loyal protector, a deep thinker, and a constant source of laughter. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the joy he created will stay with us forever.
Rest in peace, Robert. Your smile will never fade from our hearts.
