Ronald Arthur Huston

Ronald Arthur Huston, 68, of Killeen went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 1, beginning at 1 pm in the Harper-Talasek Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Rich officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 30 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.

Ron was born September 10, 1954, in Alexandria, Virginia to Loretta Belle Hogbin and Ronald Louis Huston. He was shuffled from his mother to his father and stepmother, Bea Huston, and back again during his childhood. October 1st, 1980, he and Lisa Henningsen had their first date, and have been together ever since. They married January 2nd, 1987 and made the dear promise of “till 12th of never”.

Ron served in the United States Army from 1971-1973. Afterwards he spent 20 years as a carpet restoration specialist, until he became disabled and made the transition to being a stay-at-home Dad. Those who knew Ronnie Arthur, knew him to be a very goofy man, always able to make everyone laugh. His hobbies included woodworking, creating windchimes, writing poetry, and spent a lot of time over the years finding old cars to restore and sometimes, even resell as working vehicles again. He loved his dogs tremendously and drank enough Pepsi to earn him the formal name as one of his own. Ron was a very loving man to all of his family and became an amazing BomBom. On Valentine’s Day of 2016, he was baptized as a Christian.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Loretta Belle Hogbin and Ronald Louis Huston; stepmother, Bea Huston; sister, Rita; and stepsiblings, John Thomas and Mary McGee.

Those left to cherish Ron’s memory include his wife, Lisa Jean Huston-Henningsen; children, Ronald Huston-Henningsen and partner, Kellie, Constance Chappell and partner, Donovan, William Huston and partner, Krista, and Lillian Huston; mother-in-law, Geri Henningsen; siblings, Sharla Linville, Sherry, Steve Huston, David Benjamin Huston and partner, Liz, and Rose Turner; stepfamily,

Susan Carter, Donna McGee, and James McGee; grandchildren, Clayton Jordan, Charles Jordan, Collin Scarlett and partner, Courtney Kinney, Kyle Scarlett, Kiara Scarlett, Saniya Huston, Laila Huston, Ber’saia Chappell, Adonai Chappell, Kiannis Chappell, and Joshua Huston; half-grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Tanner Jordan, James Jordan-Hernandez, Ally Scarlett, Piper Scarlett, and Oliver Scarlett; step grandchild, Kylee Stankiewicz; and greatgrandchildren, Gabby and Grace Scarlett.
