Rosa Parker

April 9, 1926 — March 19, 2012

Rosa Lee Parker 85, of Killeen, Texas, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012. She was the daughter of Samuel and Euletta Stone of Gainesville, Texas. She was born in Gainesville, Texas April 9, 1926. She graduated from I.M. Terrell High School Fort Worth, Texas and attended Tuskegee Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama. After college she was employed as a printer in Los Angles, California.
Rosa Lee met Sgt Walter L. Parker at Fort Benning, Georgia and they married there on April 7, 1956. As an Army wife, she has lived in Germany and Fort Hood, Texas.
Her parents and husband of 50 years precede her in death.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Brown of Killeen, three children Juanyta Johansen David of Austin, Monika Taylor Eric of Abilene, and Walter L. Parker II, of Killeen seven grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Rosa Lee was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Central Texas Chapter 1876 and a member of Saint Paul Chong Hasang Parish in Harker Heights, Texas.
