Services for Rosalie White, 88, of Killeen, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen, with the Rev. Ray Zischang officiating.BRBRMrs. White died April 3, 2008, at a Temple hospital.BRBRShe was born March 9, 1920, in Llano.BRBRShe was educated in Llano. She married Oran White in 1940. She worked a telephone operator during World War II. The couple moved to Killeen in 1947.BRBRMrs. White was very active in her church, serving as the first woman elected to the church council, past president of the women's group, a choir member, Sunday school teacher, song leader and military welcome committee sponsor.BRBRHer family meant everything to her, and the love she had for them spilled over to her godchildren.BRBRSurvivors include her son, Ed White and wife Mary Lu, Watertown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Kevin White and wife Jessica, Cordova, Tenn.; Sean White, Watertown, N.Y.; and great-grandchild, Noah White of Cordova, Tenn.BRBRShe was preceded in death by her husband, Oran; son, Robert; and her parents, Charles and Lillie Jordan.BRBRMemorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church building fund at 1104 N.
