Ruth Perez

Funeral services for Ruth C. Perez, 75, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Killeen. Interment will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.

Mrs. Perez died Sept. 29, 2010, at a Temple hospital. She was born June 30, 1935, in Navasota.

She married Valentin G. Perez in 1951 and moved to Killeen in 1959, where she worked for Post Moving and Storage in Harker Heights, and Gates Cleaners and Woodys DriveIn in Killeen. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Perez was preceded in death by her husband, Valentin Perez parents, Nicolas and Barbara Coronado four brothers and seven sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Silviano Perez of Lampasas, Eddie Perez of Lampasas, Ruben Perez of Mesquite, Arthur Perez of Lampasas and Israel Perez of Austin daughter, Mary Gutierrez of Killeen one sister 10 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Austin office, 2499 Capital of Texas Highway South, Building A, No. 105, Austin, TX 78746.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today with a rosary at 7 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
