Ruth Stene

Memorial Service for Ruth E. Stene, 79, of Killeen are scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, June 1, 2014, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Killeen with pastors Ray Zischang and Jennifer Obermueller officiating. Interment of cremains will follow at a later date at the Saint Johns Lutheran Church Cemetery, Eau Claire, WI.
Ruth was born on April 10, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Mathew and Bessie Pakan. After meeting Hugh Stene they married on July 31, 1954 in Boyceville, WI. She was the bookkeeper and coowner of the family business in Altoona, WI from 1972 to 1995 and then moved to Killeen in 2004. She was a member of the Immanuel Luther Church in Killeen, TX.

Survivors include her sons and their spouses, Luther and Nita Stene, Killeen, TX Tim and Cindy Stene, Grapevine, TX David and Heather Stene, West Lafayette, IN siblings John and Mary Pakan, Altoona, WI Bess Kuske, Chicago, IL Martha Pakan, Plymouth, MN Vera and Ken Gaspar, Kingman, AZ seven grandchildren, two Great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
