Sandra Thomas

Mrs. Sandra Hendricks Thomas was born on September 7, 1949, in Moline, Illinois to Alice Pauline Lee and James Dale Hendricks. She left this world November 11th, 2018.
In 1968, Sandra Joined the Woman's Army core after finishing High School. Not to long after joining the service, she met Darvin Doyle Thomas and on October 19, 1969. The two were married in El Paso, Texas. During a tour in Hawaii she gave birth to their Daughter, Dawn on March 21, 1977. Her Final Tour of duty she was stationed in Germany in support of Operation Desert Shield/ Desert Storm. After her release from military service, she continued her career in nursing until 2013 when she retired.
Sandra was a wonderful wife, mother, and soldier. She leaves behind her husband, Darvin Thomas; Daughter, Dawn Hight; Son-in-law, Travis Hight; Mother-in-law, Wanda McGee; and Sister-in-law, Tinna Mcgee.
