Sara Garcia

Funeral services for Sara Garcia, 93, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Towers officiating. Burial will be at Killeen Memorial Park.BRBRMrs. Garcia died April 26, 2009, in a Temple hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Lockhart.BRBRShe married her husband Fernando in 1931. They moved to Killeen in 1946. She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother who loved quilting.BRBRMrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband Fernando, three brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.BRBRShe is survived by her sons, Antonio Garcia of Castroville, Calif.; Pedro Garcia of Killeen; her daughters, Tomasa Scott of Killeen, Paula Garcia of Killeen, Vicenta Meza of Killeen, Romona Moreno of Watsonville, Calif.; her brother, Juan Perez of Gonzales; 24 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.BR
